What a guide is not

A guide is not a chaplain. When someone is grieving, in crisis, or in need of pastoral care, a chaplain or pastor is who they need, and the guide will say so. It is also not therapy, not a performance review, and not a sermon.

Like a good chaplain, the guide keeps what they hear. You know who came. You don’t hear what they said.
